Membership
It's completely free to register, browse,
post a profile and search(Standard Membership). If
you want to use the other facilities of the site, i.e. messaging
other members, chatting, using the notice board or posting
stories, then we require payment to become a Premium
Member. We offer two types of subscription(premium membership).
Firstly, you can buy fixed rate 1/3/6/12 monthly
membership allowing you un-restricted use of
the site during the period of membership. This option is
designed for those people who plan to use the site a lot.
Secondly, you can use the site by buying QUOTA,
which means basically that you pay as you go for what you
use. The only requirement here is that you buy a fixed amount
of quota to get going, to be used within a year. You
then top up your quota if, as and when you need it.
This option is designed for people who use the site less
frequently, or who do only intend to use some, but not all,
all of the facilities provided. See here for Prices

Sponsorship
and Bonuses
If
you become a sponsoring member, you qualify for a bonus
of 1 month extension of membership or 20 quota units EACH
TIME that you introduce a fully paid Premium member. As
an incentive for the person you recommend to sign up, and
hence assure you of your bonus, they will receive the same
bonus.
To
become a sponsor, just click on
the "recommend a friend" link on the members page
to register and get your sponsor number. Then give your
number to as many friends as possible and get them to sign
up. It is important to emphasise to them that they MUST
present your number WHEN THEY SIGN UP in order for you both
to get your bonus. WE CANNOT AWARD SPONSOR BONUSES IN
RETROPSPECT.

Searches
We
have tried to offer as many search combinations as possible,
compatible with keeping form filling to a minimum.
New
standard searches Press "New search" on the
search page, and type in your requirements. You may get
many pages of results if your search criteria are broad,
so narrow the search down by making your criteria more specific,
e.g. only look for people with photos, or who have been
on-line within the last week or who live within, say, 25
miles of you (UK only), etc. You can always put members
on your "no search" list they are not at all interesting
, so that they no longer feature in your results.
Standard search results are listed in the following order:-
1.
Those who have paid extra for priority
2. Age
3. Distance from the searcher.
4. Date last on-line
5. Date joined
To
improve your position in the search results, you can:-
either buy Gold, Silver or Bronze status - Golds
first, then Silver, then Bronze followed by standard status
members, each group displayed in age/distance/last on/date
joined order. Click here for prices

sign onto the site frequently - the longer you leave
it, the lower you go down the list.
Repeat
standard searches Press the "Do the same search
as last time" button on the search page. Every
time you do a new standard search your search criteria are
saved in your record so that once you have a good search
set up, you can automatically do the same search each time
without having to type in the criteria all over again.
Postcode
searches When
you register we ask you for your postcode so that a) your
entry in search results will tell the searcher how far away
from them you are, and b) enable you to specifically search
for people within a specified distance from you. WE NEVER
DISPLAY YOUR POSTCODE ON THE SITE - IT IS USED FOR CALCULATIONS
ONLY
Matching
Matching
is an attempt by the site to make your finding a likely
match easier by providing a list of people who have been
searching for members with the attributes that you have
given us in your personal details - you can of course change
these at any time from "Admin". Your list of likely
matches is obtained by pressing the "Hot Prospects"
button on the search page. Please understand that this list
will NOT provide you with an "Ideal Partner"
or "Perfect Match" or anything else other than
a list of people looking for the likes of you, and
hence is a good place to start your search for a date.
Slide
show When
you do a standard search, the search result entries give
you basic information on the member with links to their
profiles. A slide
show search returns the results of your last saved search
as a display of thumbnail photos, 10 to a page, showing
all those people who match your requirements and have posted
photos. This is very handy for a quick over-view of your
prospects if looks are all-important.
Lucky
Dip
This is not a search really, but
a bit of fun for when you feel lucky. It is a link to the
profile of a member randomly selected from amongst the people
who have supplied photos and that the site thinks you may
be interested in, on the basis of the details that you have
supplied. The link appears as a thumbnail, and changes each
time you access the Members page.

This is the place where you can view and manage all your

The Hot List/Buddies/Favourites list
The list that you keep
of people that interest you and that you intend to contact
later, added from the member's profile and search
results
The
"Who likes me" list
This is the list of people who have you on their
favourites list.
The
"Private View" list - You Primary photo
is for all to see, but your secondary photos are only for
your invited contacts to see. This list is where you put
people that you want to be able to see your private photos
- you add them from their profile.
The
"ignores" list
- this is where you put people that you do not want
to receive messages from - added from the member's profile
and search results. You can remove them from here.
What
is the "no-search" list? - this is
where you put people that you are definitely not interested
in, and who you do not want to appear in your search results
- added from the member's profile and search results. You
can remove them from here.
